Roeland Park is a small town along the northern edge of Johnson County, Kansas. The Roeland Park Aquatic Center provides residents with a huge indoor swimming area located right next to the Roeland Park Community Center. Roeland Park is serviced by The JO, a bus service that connects Johnson County, Kansas, with much of Kansas City, Missouri, and other outlying areas. Shawnee Mission Parkway, a major thoroughfare in northern Johnson County, runs east and west along the southern edge of Roeland Park and connects quickly to Kansas City, Missouri, to the east and Interstate 35 just a few miles west. Roeland Park’s central location allows for quick transit to pretty much any part of the metropolitan region. The Country Club Plaza is less than a 10-minute drive away. The Kansas City International Airport (MCI) can be reached in less than 30 minutes.
