With a population of nearly 185,000 residents, this Kansas City suburb is the second most populous city in Kansas. Older areas in the north part of the city feature meandering lanes and tree-lined residential districts. Parks and Recreation
Overland Park has two state-of-the-art community centers. The Matt Ross Community Center features three indoor pools as well as a hot tub. The 300-acre Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens includes trails, soothing water gardens and eco-education opportunities. The city boasts over 35 miles of bike and walking trails as well as local sports leagues for citizens.
Overland Park hosts the corporate headquarters of more than 40 major companies including Sprint, Black and Veatch, Waddell and Reed, and Compass Minerals. An affordable place to do business, the city continues to attract organizations of all sizes.
