March 2017 Kansas City Housing Market Report from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and Heartland Multiple Listing Service.

Highlights from the March data include:

March 2017 average sales price for new & existing homes combined ($217,014) is 8.4% higher than March 2016.

There were 3,132 home sales (new & existing combined) for March 2017 – 1.1% higher than last March (3,099).

Home inventory (new & existing combined) for March 2017 (6,748) is 21.9% lower compared to March 2016.

The supply of new and existing homes for March 2017 is 2.1 months representing a home market favoring sellers.
